OK.. Here is what is happening. I have a Farmall B that starts on the first crank when cold. But, after heating up (not running hot) stalls and wont restart until it cools off. I have a drain cock on the carburetor so I know it is getting gas. to the carb. It has spark. Any ideas??

This sure sounds like a bad coil. Once it heats up it fails. That is usually how a bad coil reacts. Rich

Yes it could be the coil. I check for a spark the next time it quits.

You need to do that ASAP before the coil has a chance to cool. Hal

Thanks Gene and Andy I to think it is spark related. I'll first try the simple fix with new plugs. I put in new points and condenser last spring and the Mag was give me a hot spark on the bench.

Does it have a mag or a dist? When it stops check for spark. Just pull a wire off and stick a screwdriver in the end that goes to the spark plug then holding it next to the steering shaft and turn engine over to check for fire.If you have a mag you will have to pull the mag to repair. Check the position where the rotor is pointing so you can install with it the same position.

Might be a bad coil, spark plugs or condenser. Clean the points too and make sure the gap setting is correct.
