Are the early Owner's Manual and Operator's Manual for an H the same thing? Have a 6/41 Owner's manual, which is significantly different than the 6/40 Operator's manual, yet each covers the tractor's basic operation.

Both I believe to be original. IH publications. I have only seen Owner's manuals in the later years.

Ain't no silly questions here. If you don't know, you don't know. I could fill a library with what I don't know. I'm always happy that others who do know are helpful in answering our questions.

My 3-14-41-5B H manual is an 'Instruction Manual'
No cartoons. My 3-25-48 H manual is an 'Owner's Manual' Lots of cartoons. My original 2-13-53 Super M manaul is labeled Operator's Manual. It has the cartoons. That one is for sale if anyone needs one. Email privately

I have a couple of the digest size manuals, and they are different. I think one has the cartoon drawings in it.

All my early manuals for Farmall A (1940) and W-4 (1941) are labeled as "Instruction Manual". The 1937 O-12 manual is an "Instruction Book". The 1946 W-4 manual is an "Owner's Manual"
