I now know why so many farmall A's and Super A's
do not have battery boxes in them...there a pain to put in and out.I just bought a battery box for my super a and I removed all the linkage and still cant get it in, if I remove the fender the problem should be solved. Does somone know an easy way of installing battery box in an SA?
Thanks in advance...Happy Holidays.

Bob: What I like best for holding clutch pedal down is put a 3/4 socket between platform and clutch pedal stop.

I'll put in a third vote for coming out towards the right hand side of the tractor and securing the clutch pedal down. tractorsam

bob: Never takes me more than 5 minutes. Don't take the fender off, it doesn't come out that side. It's just as simple as tieing the clutch pedal down, disconnect right hydraulic control linkage and starter linkage, unbolt the box, disconnect the cables and out it comes. almost as fast as I typed this.

Afternoon Bob, Yep they are kind of a pain ! What I do is take some heavy wire and push the clutch pedal all the way down and wire it to the front cultivator mount. Then I remove the starter rod and the linkage on that side to the touch control. Remove the bolts at the bottom of the battery box along with the cables and you should be able to slide it out towards the operators platform. Hope this helps !
