D = high altitude 5,000 ft engine compression; J = Rockford clutch.

"S" is TA with provision for 540 rpm PTI, "J" is Rockford clutch.

Farmall H didn't use a suffix like that. If you are lucky maybe you have a SH with that serial # and suffix.

In that case its what City boy posted. Engine serial # should have a D after it also. Originaly would be equiped with pistons to give a little higher compression ratio than standard altitude engine.
