When I order tires from a local tractor company, for my M, what size am I asking for? Also, Anyone know where I can get a set of chains for the M?

My H has 11" rims and uses 12.4x 38 and my M has 13" rims and uses 14.9 38s.

Some of the early M's had 10in rims after that they have 12in.I would stay with the 13-36's as they will fit the rims,14in or larger just don't look right on a 12in rim and only the center of the tire will pull on hard surface.

Tire chains from a local machinery dealer, Tractor Supply (probably special order), or tirechains DOT com.

A shop that does ag tires should be able to tell you what size tires fit an M. If they can't, find a different shop. Now that you know, it may behoove you to use this as a test; play dumb and ask them.
Also a 13.6x38 might be a little small in the cheaper import tires, so you may want to go up a size to 14.9x38.

My M has had 13.6 by 38's on it for as long as I can remember. As far as chains I'm sure someone will be able to provide that answer. I would check any local auctions.

I am using 15.5 X 38's on my M. They actually cost less then 13.6's when I bought. They are great looking and pull well. Plus is better speed with larger tires. Original tires were 11.o which are now 12.8 (same tire). Check your local farm tire supply. I wont tell you what I paid but it was less than 500$ for two new tires mounted. Got them thru a part time supplier.

I was able to find the numbers on these, 13.6x38. I"ll take your suggestion and call someone part time. The folks I just talked to quoted me $1000 for the tires and coming here to mount them. Seems a little high. Thanks for the help, all.
