Where is a good place to have an injection pump worked on other than Central fuel out of Iowa. The pump is from a '47 MD and it shows no pressure on the gauge. The tractor still runs but I am certain that something is not right inside of it. I have already changed the filter and and blew any junk out that could be blocking fuel flow

Presure at the guage comes from the scavenger pump on the back of the injection pump itself. It is run off a square shaft out the back of the injection pump with a coupling that has a roll pin through it and they are known to break and let the coupling slide off the shaft there for no fuel pressure at the pump and poor pefromance. There is four bolts that hold the scavenger pump to the injection pump but only two of them go all the way throught. Take it loose from the back of the pump and check to see if the roll pin has broken.

Does it rev up and pull good? I had one and gauge didnt work either, put a plug in it.If it aint broke dont fix it.Those pumps are fairly simple take it apart and clean it up if needed. If youve ever rebuilt a carb you can do this no problem. Later Hoss

it does not rev up to the max rpms. it seems to pull ok but the gauge should work. I purchased a new gauge last spring and it was working good and then the pressure just dropped off. My uncle tried to turn up the pump but I think he really messed up the settings inside. I have it set pretty close but I do not think it is correct yet though.

Did you have a problem with Central Fuel out of Iowa?
I used them and they did good work, but it's expensive to have the pump redone.

I have never sent anything to them nor have I heard anything about them. Just wondering what type of quality they perform. I don't want to pay alot for something that is no better than what I send to them. I read somewhere that they rebuild pumps with used parts. Is that true or not.

Eau Claire Diesel Service in Eau Clair has done great work for me. He has kept his labor low too. They are right off of Hwy 53 just North of downtown. He has UPS stopping twice a day and turns your equipment around in under a week.

I will try and get a phone number for them if you want it.
You can call me at 612-747-1244

Do they work on the old IH cast iron pumps. I will do some searching for the phone number and see what I can find
