does any onehave the specs for the brake drums on a super h. one of my supers has little brake and i suspect that the drum has worn over the years now allowing the expanders to push the discs out far enough. what is the measurment from the outside edge to the bottom of the drum?? thanks

Your Super H should have disc brakes unless someone put Super decals on a straight H.

If you have thick friction material, and you know that your expanders are working to their fullest width, I would make a sheet metal (steel) shim that fits in the housing on the outside (circular and such that it doesn't get loose, and cannot rotate) just to see if taking up space makes it work correctly. I would use 1/16" up to .100" or so for a shim to check the idea. If it does, taking that much off the housing is permanent, where as leaving the shim in it might not be as fade resistant. New disks are pricy, but may also repair the problem W/O resorting to machining the housing. JimN
