Any way to change power up only hydraulic remote to power both ways.Looking at replacing existing remote valve with open center 3 way valve with built in releif valve. Tractor is I 504 utility with 12gpm pump. Any ideas???? PS, not for log splitter, pump too small.

If you have one remote lever and two hydraulic ports (or two levers and four ports), you already have two-way hydraulics.

A 504 should already have two-way hydraulics as standard equipment.

Nat, it does have one remote with two couplers, but pressure only on the bottom coupler( about1250 by test gauge) acts like upper coupler is for return only.Is it supposed to have pressure both ways?? Ops manaual a little vague, Was told alot of older tractors had power only one way. Works fine with boom pole but I need cylinder to be powered down also. Thanks for your help. Butch

Nat 2 You are right, power both ways on remote, went back out and checked again with test gauge.I was pushing aux valve lever too far forward which is a float position. Ops book confirmed I had jumped the gun.. Thanks again for helping out a newbie. Butch
