I have a farmall 200 that I have been having a heck of a time getting going, I have only worked with masseys and allis chalmers, but they were all 12 volt systems, can anyone tell me the difference in negative ground and positive ground, everything i have had has been the same as a car, any help would be much appreciated, thanks in advance...Mike

Some regulators will say on the bottom either pos gnd or neg gnd but the tractor when new was pos gnd as the gen doesent care just polarize it before running or you can burn the reg

From the factory, it was positive ground 6v. Look to the archives here (Search For) to find a thousand hits on the topic. John T input is particularly useful. JimN
