Jake,
My 52 Super C has a Carter UT carb with no adjustments but the idle screw. It has run perfectly since restoration in 2002, but lately began to run rich and foul plugs. I broke it down and found the main gasket between the top & bottom bodies had shrunk and was allowing air to suck in. This evidently allows more fuel to be picked up by the venturi, thus causing a rich mixture. Replaced the gasket, cleaned up the plugs and everything back to ship shape now.

There is only one screw and that is for idle mixture. Now the carb has been changed or its an all fuel carb there will be a load type setting this would be a little t-handle next to the gen. with engine warm and 2/3 throttle turn carefully till engine sounds smooth and watch for black smoke as the black smoke means too rich. You never know what has been changed over the 50 pluss yrs the little tractor has survived so tags and stuff sometimes dont mean a lot.
