i need a new mag its a 6 volt stystem,do i need to put standard mag back in it or is there options for what i can do here.

You can go with a mag and or distubutor either one will work just fine. You can also do a little trick to the mag you have and turn it into a distubutor just by wireing up a coil and hooking it into the mag so the mag points operate like a distubutor does

And for what it's worth, a magneto does not care if the battery is 6 volt, or 12, because a magneto makes its own electricity. A battery is not even needed.

There are several that could be made to work, but the IH H-4 mag is the only one that will be correct, and will be much easier to find than anything else simply because there were so many of them made. Most of them are still out there somewhere. I think I have at least 4 dead ones laying out in my shop.
