I noticed a International Harvester fridgerator on TV last night. It was on a rerun of "Friends" in Monicas kitchen. My guess is a late 50s early 60s model.

Don, I'd love to see a picture. I have been looking for a door handle for my U87 for years. I had my 1950 at the RPRU in'05.

Ya from what I've seen and heard they are some real good appliances. Also like others sair they are heavy! My grandparents have an old freezer in the bottom floor of their house. Been sitting there for probobly 40 years and its still works like new. It be pretty cool to have one of them.

What size is it, what are you asking for it, and where are you located?

I think I remember seeing that also. It would be nice to know if it is an actual working model or just a stage prop.

I am not sure, but I think I remember hearing that that fridge was working and some of the set crew kept food in it, lunch and what not. From what Evan below says they must have been ahead of their time design wise. My parents had a westinghouse they got new in 1957 and it looked a lot older that the IH on on the show. It had a rounded top and curved door front where the IH fridge is square topped and a flat front.

According to the attached link, IH home appliances were only made from 1947 to 1955.
