I just found a 1957 450 which needed a battery and a lot of terminal cleaning especially the battery ground cable. This baby just purrrs. I have not gotten a manual yet but how much hydro fluid does it take (13 gal of trans hydro?) and where is the filter located? It looks good next to my 35 & 38 F-20's and the 65 504. I do have to sell it.(that's what I have been told)

The 400/450 series has a brass type screen filter for the hydraulic filter, this is located on the right side of the hydraulic reservoir (near the brake pedals). I looks like a plate with four bolts holding it. I dont know how much it holds but their is a dipstick above the filter.

Found the filter and dip stick. Thanks a lot. I noticed that it is a separate tank for the hydro fluid than the tranny. What kind of fluid does the tranny take? Mine looks like coffee with cream. (expresso)
