The plans shown are very good. I made a similar puller for my Cub. I did not use the jack or portapower, but rather a piece of 3/4 inch threaded rod, using that as a jack. You need a nut or such on the end to bear against the end of the crank shaft and a hole in the end piece to accomodate the Rod. Use a nut against the end piece. My Cub pulley came of easily with this set up.

Here's a puller Bigdog made for his Cub and with a little modification on the hole spacing will snatch it off too. Hal

Gary: There you have it, Keith has, in my opinion built one of the best pullers for that pulley in the past 60 years. From our e mails I knew it was one of these YT guys, and I knew he'd come forward.

Here's the one I built to pull crank pulley off son's SC. Also used hydraulic's to press pulley back on. You'll need to find a hydraulic jack that will work laying on it's side, or use a porta-power.HTH

I see El Toro found a pic, but yours is the one I remembered. Thanks for the pic Keith. I agree with Hugh, I think this is probably one of the best set ups I have seen for this.

It either needs to be pressed off or you need a bearing splitter to put behind it to attach the puller to. Someone here has pics of a homemade plate to pull it with. Search the archives and maybe you can find it. Might be El Toro who has the pic, don't remember.
