I am looking for a add on gearbox for my F12 to giv e more speed in road gear. Does the gearbox bolt in the space between clutch & transmission?I drive my f 12 in parades & keep my garden plowed with it. Sure could use a little more speed because garden is on a spot 1/4 mile from house. Am also looking for an original stearing wheel for f 12 it is 16 in diam. Any info will be very much appreciated THANKS

A good (and original) solution is to try to find the IHC option, a "7 mph road gear," which the company offered after rubber tires became available. At high-idle, you should get about 8 mph, which would get you over the 1/4 mi. pretty fast. I can't tell you how many hours I've spent going back and forth a mile each way with a wagon to pick up hay or grain, pulling with an F-12 at 4 mph. I don't know how complicated it is to install these gears.

The heisler unit mounts on the input of the trans. You have to remove the shield and the coupler and the part that bolts onto the housing. The OD unit has the gear mounted on it that matches up to the gear inside. Then add back the coupler parts that will line up. and figure out where to mount the control rod. It may be a good idea to also take the belt pulley off as it will spin like mad with the overdrive on it and it will take a blue moon to be able to shift gears without grinding. The pulley may also be at risk of flying apart. There may be another type of OD that someone else may know about. My experiance is with the heisler.
