First drain the rear end, then drop the pump. The round part with the slot for the pump drive shaft is a nut. it comes out like a normal nut. I used a 1/4 square screw driver shaft and some cussing to get mine out. Then the 3 bolts that hold the housing come off and so will the housing. The bearing will come out too. the seal drives out from the inside of the housing. If I forgot something someone will chime in.

On an H you don"t have to remove the belly pump to change the lower tranny shaft seal. There is enough room between the shaft and pump to get your hands in there and take stuff loose.

I did forget to mention, that pump is heavy! use a floor jack and some blocks to lower it and it helps to have some extra hands in case it wants to fall off the jack as it clears the belly. There is just 4 bolts holding it in and you have to take all the elbows off and the filler cap also.
