My grandfather just picked up a 1937 F20NT over the weekend. It has hand brakes on it now and I wondered if it was possible to convert it to foot brakes and if so what all was required to do this? We got some extra parts with it as it"s not all together and there is a set of brkae pedals but I am not sure if they fit or not. My dig camera is dead at the moment so I can"t get any photos till I get some batteries for it. Just think it would be easier for my pap to operate with foot brakes and less likely to get out of control. Thanks for any help.

Could someone post a closeup pic if possible of the brake assembly on a foot brake equipped unit. I have looked thru all the books and literature I have on these and cannot find a picture that shows the brake area up close and clear enough to know if I allready have the right parts or not. Thanks for the reply Cowman.

third party image

here's a closeup of the lower part of the pedals. A shaft goes under the tractor to operate the left side.

Yes, there were aftermarket foot brakes that are not too hard to install. IH made some with foot brakes the last couple years. I have both types available.
