I have been looking at a 240 International with a front end loader. The steering wheel has almost a half turn of free play in it. Are there any adjustments that could take some of the play out of it or does it need some new parts? Thank you, Barrett Jones

I recently purchased an International 240 Utility with a Wagner loader. It too had very loose steering . . . in my case there was a full 360 degree free play in the steering wheel. Search this forum under "240 Loose Steering" for more information and photos of the path I have had to take.

Are the tie rods tight and is the steering arm off the gearbox tight mite need a new key on the gear. There are several places that can have play nothing that cant be rebuilt or just tightened.
