Do things work OK after it starts to work? Do the rear hydraulics work OK right from the start or do they begin to work only when you get streering and brakes?

If the problem is just that it takes a long time to get the pumps primed, if it is not low on fluid, the most likely cause is an internal leak on the oil pickup tube between the clutch housing and rear frame. The way to test for the leak is to overfill the rear housing by about five or six gallons and see if theat cures the problem. If things work OK when overfilled, you can use it that way, or do a rear split to replace the o-ring between the frames.

Well like others have said and if the filter is clean and the screen is clean then i would have to say that ya may have a leaking sump check plug or ya may have some sticking valves in the MCV . ANd may need a new spring kit and a real close look at the valves . Not sayen that you could not do the job but ya will need atleast one special hyd fitting a test gauges that will read 600 lbs To set the pressure reg. spring as it may need to be ground of to reduce pressure or may need to shimmed up. I had one 966 that was doing the same thing and foundthat the pressure reg valve was scored and stuck.

Change the filter and clean that bypass screen.

did you check the filter?
sounds like the screen or filter are clogged.
if it worked when it was cold then wouldn't once it was warm it would sound like a o ring.
