I have an old Farmall 350 tractor with a front bucket on it. I had to replace one of the hyd hoses and at the same time I drained the trans fluid and replaced as it was very milky. I started the tractor and you can see the hyd cylinders trying to work (they move about an inch or so) and then nothing. I pulled off one of the quick connect copplers and had a very hard time putting it back in due to the hyd pressure on the ball. I did get it back on and the cylinders still wont go up. Is there a way to bleed the system to make sure that all the air is out of the lines? I am thinking this may be the problem.

Take the line loose at the pump(not off) start the tractor and lift the loader, you will know when the air is out. Tighten the hose and top off the oil.

I had to fill my lift cylinders first then hook them up to get rid of the air, then it worked fine

Also make sure the breather is clean. If you didn't clean it at the same time you changed the fluid in the reservoir, it would be a good idea.
