10-20 Clutch

Once I get my 10-20 running, I hop on the seat and push in the clutch pedal. Have to put it in and out several times, leaving the pedal pushed in most of the time hoping for things to stop spinning so can get it in gear.

Then, when driving, I push the pedal in and it takes to the count of 7 or so, before the tractor stops. Could this be due to the throw out bearing needing lubed?

I can't find the grease tube on the clutch, so got one from the Fordson House. But where does it go?

Thanks,

Dan

Is the belt pulley engaged when starting? also the part about not stopping right away tells me the disc is sticking to the flywheel possibly due to dust in the grooves or grease on the disc or a grove worn in the clutch shaft splines. Do you have the single plate clutch or the multiple plate clutch? Those multi plate one are known to stick like that. The single plate clutch was first used in 1929 and is also the same as on a F-20. The grease tube(hose) if I remember right goes to a fitting on the left side of the tractor and to the bronze sleeve the bearing fits in.

Just a shot in the dark here but do you have the clutch adjusted right? Maqaybe you need to tigghten up the linkage between the ppedal and clutch.
