I have an H with the rear axles are about a foot longer on each side than the normal H's. There is a 5X after the serial # Was this a special order option?

I think I read where those long axles are for different crop spacing possibly for cultivating crops that spead out wide like potatos or cucumbers. I do think they would put more strain in the axle bearings.

I've heard of longer axles for duals on H's and M's. I believe they would have been a special order option, and are now treasured by some pullers.

I don't believe the optional 100" axles on yours were designated by a suffix. The X code, in your case X5, means 5000' altitude pistons.
