While warming up the F-14 last evening the fanbelt broke. Looked pretty rotten so off to get a new one. Can I get that thing between the hand crank insert notches and the bottom pulley. I know I can get it over the fan and on the top but the bottom looks pretty tight. Thanks Migraine

From personal experience, it is much easier to remove the two bolts holding the crank bearing in place and shoving it toward the front. That leaves plenty of room to put the new belt on the crankshaft pulley. Just don't overtighten the new belt and check it again after a few hours of run time.

Yes,you can get it in there, but it might be a little tough.

On an O-12 one has to loosen the two bolts holding the hand-crank to the front frame to get the belt over the crank pulley, even then there is little room to get ones hands in.

I'm not 100% positive if you can or not. But if you can't there is only 2 bolts that hold the hand crank shaft to the front bracket if I remember right. Once those two bolts are out just slide it front and you will have plenty of room.
