Hey guys I have rebuilt my W6 carb and have a few questions. I took it all apart and let it sit for 2 days in carb cleaner which did a really good job of cleaning it up but at the same time I see it kinda softened the rubber that the main adjusting screw fits into. I'm wondering should I just screw it in tighter or can this rubber insert be replaced? I'd hate to put it all back together and then have to tear it all apart again cuz it leaks or something. Also where the governor linkage connects to the housing on the tractor motor I'm noticing some front to back play, is this normal or can I tighten it up with some JB weld? I'm in the process of rebuilding the tractor so I'm sure more questions will follow, thanks for all the input in advance.

I dont know how anyone missed this, that "rubber" is a carbon packing, and should have been in your kit, since it is replacable, you could try tightening up the packing nut. It may help. On the other, I cant say, I would have to see how much wobble is in, but in my experience, just let it ride.
