We are at wits end !!! We had our tractor to 2 different tractor dealers to get our 3 pt hitch fixed. Everything has been rebuild and new o-rings in everything and it still does not work! Everything has been cleaned and washed out so none of the lines are clogged. Our front loader and power steering works great. But not the 3 pt. If anyone has any idea of what the problem would be, we would greatly appreciate any help. Thank so much !!!!

Depends on how it is acting. Can be several things. there is actually a pressure relief valve in the piston. The little orfice thingy is what I have found bad before.
there are some O-rings in there that require a special tool to get to.

Larry: Are you in Canada or USA? The 444 is basically a British designed tractor. The 444s sold in Canada were completely British built and assembled. In the US tractor engine and chassis were shipped to Louisville where wheels, front axle, steering, sheet metal, dash, PTO, hydraulics, radiator, front axle and electrical were installed and those items are all different.

Then you have the vets thoughts, there were numerous hydraulic plumbing ideas for loaders that can vastly change how everything operates. Then you add to that 35 years of owner modification, some of which shut the oil supply off to the hitch. You may do as George suggests with poor results if plumbing is your problem.

With out seeing the set up and checking myself i really don't know. IF it will not lift the three point but the loader works it may be the way it is plumed . and all pressure is bypassen the three point. it maybe one of thiose cases where ya will have to install a directional valve to shut off flow to the loader to use the three point and then shut off the three point to use the loader. Here again i am only shooten in the dark .

Larry, is it up or down? I fixed mine a few years ago by going to a salvage yard and giving 250.00 for a good used lift unit. Worked very well.

The three point is down. It will not go up. We took it over to the repair shop and he said that he fixed it. We got it home and lifted 3 roles of hay and it dropped and hasn't worked since. We since then took it to International itself and rebuilt the control valves and side double action had been rebuilt. It has 1500 psi both front and back. I worked on it again today and still nothing. Still puzzled and so is international. Hoping someone out there has a answer. Any help appreciated.
