I recently bought a belt pulley for my H which currently doesn't have one installed and am wondering if there is a linkage or rod that goes back to the drivers area to engage the pulley. If so does anyone have a picture or diagram so that I can see what it looks like and how it's mounted?

That is the radiator shutter control. As you can see mine is bent and doesn't turn. I haven't tried to straighten it yet.

or you could get a length of 1/4 inch diameter rod and break out the torch and vise and make our own. the end that gets bent over at 90 degrees gets a hole drilled through it for a cotter pin.

Here is mine.

If you need the handle, and aren't in a hurry, I am heading to the junk yard probably Friday. I'll see if I can find one.

Thanks for the quick response and picture. I haven't even received the gear box yet in the mail and I saw a rod on ebay so I wanted to make sure it was the right one and it is. If it doesn't pan out I'll let you know.

Allan,
That's the crank to open and close the radiator shutters.

IH has the gasket for the belt pulley. If you don"t get one from IH be sure you get one the right thickness so the gears mesh right or it could get noisy. By the way , my 51 H has the same rod as Mikes.

Good point. Thanks. Can you tell me where to get one? Can't seem to find one searching the internet.
