I am having problems with a clutch. If I start in neutral it will grind when shifting. I have replaced the pressure plate, clutch plate, and T.O. bearing. If I start it in gear it shifts fine. Not sure if it is an adjustment problem or what.

Gary, probably require fingers on pressure plate to be adjusted. Search achives under 444 or 434, someone posted instructions about a couple months ago to adjust fingers.

Did you check your pilot bearing?

Is this a 2 stage clutch ? If so it is probably not set up/adjusted right.

Yes,it is a 2 stage. Would this adjustment problem be in the pressure plate?
