Hi; I have a 560 farmall that I'm having problems with. It won't release unless you pull back on the touqconverter. It has just had a new cluch put in it and I've tried ajusting it from 2 in of free travel to 0 in. free travel. Any help would be appriated. Thanks

you cant go by manuel if your linkage is worn badly, but, you can still get it right, it takes a little time and patience, to adjust till it works just right. once you get it right it seems to have been so easy.

If you mean it still trys to pull unless you pull the T/A handle. You have something wrong with the main clutch not releasing. If its just hard to shift or hanging in gear, the T/A clutch is not releasing. If the last is it try adjusting all the linkages to what manual says first.

Realize I made a mistake, if the T/A holds on the low side the tractor will still try to pull if its the main clutch not releasing, no matter what position the handle is in. So its probably what others posted.

The issue is not the master clutch, it is the TA clutch adjustment. The manual will detail the procedure. The TA will burn out if left that way, do it now, by the book, and all is well. By the way, the TA is not a converter, it is a set of planetary gears with a clutch, and a overrunning clutch that operate them. No fluid coupling, JimN

You need an owner's manual so that you can adjust the TA and clutch at the same time *EXACTLY* the way the manual states.
