This is for a B, but a C should be similar. I have it for a Super C if you need it. Note how the punch marks are aligned. Hal

You must have moved the gear need to take gov housing off again and look for the timing marks on the gear and cam they will be hard to see and you mite want a I@T manual as it will show the timing dots and how they should be. You will need a little mirror to see them with the gov housing off.

Did you remove the gear that the flyballs are mounted in?

If so, you may have put it back in wrong. It must go in the exact same tooth it came out of.

That is likely the answer. Putting it back will be a bit of effort. Pull #1 plug. Rotate the engine till air pushes out your thumb stuck in the hole. Put a piece of stiff vinyl covered wire in the plug hole and rotate till it is at the very top. Set the timing mark (hole in cover at flywheel) to TDC
Timing marks should be on gear in hole, and gear on governor. If not set the rotor to point to 1:30 (looking forward). Good luck, JimN

Are you sure your plug wires are in the correct firing order? Should be in this order. Hal
