I have a friend that is looking for a bucket loader for his 1944 Farmall model H and I found one that came off a model M. Does anybody know if they will interchange? Looking at the picture, the M looks very simular to the H.

Here is a picture of the loader with it still attached to the M.

The seller calls it a "Freeman" loader so it must be aftermarket. If the only difference is the width of the frame rails I should be able to make some spacers to fit the H frame. Do the M and H have the same Lift-All system so all the hydraulic lines should hook up the same?

The hookup is the same, the units are not the same size, but identical in operation. Stay with the front outlet fittings on both sides. Be sure the adapter does not twist outward on the rails, or have a tendency to tip and pull out bolts. A cross member at the front might help. JimN

The loader will fit. You will only have to shim the front mount or as John said flip the mount over. The H is a little narrower in the front end. Everthing else is the same though.

The modle 30-31 have a seprate set of brackets that bolt to the H and the loader will fit. I have a set but shipping would eat you alive.

I took a farmhand loader off an M, and had to narrow it a foot to fit on an H.

Dens: Your right, H and M are quite similar, exactly same length from axle housing to front. Chassis of the M is thicker and heavier, but they were designed so most implements would interchange with minor modifications. Yes the loader will mount, but you will have to make a few adjustments possibly some minor fabrication. Good luck.

Depends on the loader. The model 30 and 31 interchange by reversing the front brackets, but I do not know about others. More info or a picture of the loader would help.
