I have searched for info on these KB 6 and 7 trucks but figure you I.H. guys might have a ballpark what the value is.KB 6 is a '48 with hoist and 14 foot flatdeck. Very nice sheetmetal and all chrome and emblems are there. Cab is ok with some rust on ceiling and all lights are in place. 6 cyl runs nice and quiet with good oil pressure. The 7 is a '49 I think and has a little damage on right fender but otherwise pretty good. All lights and chrome good except one KB emblem. Also runs very nice and has hoist and flatdeck. It has all the chrome hubcaps on it but none on the 6. This estate that I'm hauling out of never seems to want to commit on prices but the guy helping her suggested 800 for the 7 and 1200 for the 6. I thought one of these would make a nice parade or show truck to display an old Farmall and /or cub cadet or implements. What do you think? These trucks have been in a dry climate all their life. Danny Scheaffer has held a truck/tractor/vehicle show, free admission for years the first weekend in October. My first time there this year and several old IH trucks in work clothes, rough and restored condition. Lots of IH tractors and other breeds as well. Half-page ad -page 26- in current Red Power magazine. Central time zone for us but he could give you information on $$'s and possible have contacts for parts/whole trucks.

A good FREE show and worth visiting. Hope this helps.

Sounds like good pricing to me. I know I will spend alot more than the total of both those trucks to fix my KB-5 that I have owned for 45 years. It has been neglected for the past 25 years.

I have just started to collect sheetmetal and I am already over $600.

You could have alot of fun with a Dodge/Cummins repower or a noisy Detroit.

Sounds like fair prices to me for trucks in running condition without rust through on the body panels.

Might post over at oldihc.org for more info.
