I've been playing around with both a narrow and wide front today on two SM's. The narrow lower bolster has a square bolt pattern of 4.5" by 3/4" bolt holes.

Yes,if you use the M wheels and rims along with the M lower bolster.

Two yes, two no so far. Averages out to "maybe". I will repharse the question to "Is the bolt pattern on the M lower bolster different from the 460?". If not then the 460 is different from the H (I think.) I have never directly compared them.

4 bolt pattern is the same for M,560,460 and others. 460 and 560 farmall use the same front end above lower bolster. 460 frame rails widen out in front of clutch housing to same width as 560.

Probably not, the 460 followed the H-350 series, H and M are not interchangable without modification. Whether they changed the 460 to M specs, I don't know.
