I have a 300 farmall row crop and i broke the front spindle on the wide front end. I have the parts and was wondering where the felt gasket goes? and which way does the thrust bearing go? it looks as though the uncovered part goes down.

On the tractors I have the felt fits inside the dust shield, the opening in the dust shield faces down. You can look at a parts diagram in the parts listing at www.caseih.com and be sure.

Are there any other sites that have better showings or mechanical drawings? The caseih site shows the parts but not where they go?

None that I know of. The CIH site shows the drawings from the hard copy parts catalog. It does show them in the correct sequence. Granted, for some items, it does not show how they attach to another part of the tractor. Most diagrams are pretty self explanatory, though.
