BEEN LOOKING FOR A 544 DIESAL HYDRO AND FOUND A GOLD DEM. IT IS ALL ORIGINAL HAS BADGES, PERTY FADED. IS THE DEMINSTRATOR WORTH MORE THAN ANY OTHER 544 HYDRO? HAS F-10 LOADER 5200 HRS. ASKING 6200. WHAT DO YA THINK?

I have a 544 deisel hydro. Great tractor. It is a '70. There were not a lot of 544 deiel hydros made, I am sure even less demonstrators. Say the loader is worth $1000, that is $5200 for a 56hp, great engine, handy tractor. Not to bad of price in my eye since it is a rare demo. Drop that loader in the ground and see if you can stall the engine pushing, you should be able to, or at least dig a hole with the tires. My opinion. The hydro does rob some power from the 56hp, and she will turn over a bit slow when cold, but so far I am really glad to have my 544D hydro. Most people around here have never seen one, so it gets some attention at times.

It might have some appeal to some, The price seems on the high side. If tires are very good, the engine and hydro systems are great, and the hydro works correctly (field load test needed) then it is good, but not a FFFIIINNNDDD. JimN
