does anyone know how much a '59 460 hi-utility is worth? it is in original condtion, still very good piant tires runs good etc. it has a freeman loader and a catagory 2 backhoe with it. i think the asking price is steep, but i don't know. i know the HU's are rare. the asking price is $5000. the front end and power steering are shot, and have been rebuilt 30 years ago or so with used parts. the fast hitch is shot, needs bushing, new pins etc. well and i being cheap or is the price right? thanks jk. p.s. i for got that at one point the front axle was broken off and the pivot went threw the oil pan. it has a "nice" patch on the front of it.

i am in southeast michigan, aboput 20 miles north of the ohio border. jim, do you have the whole steering system, or just the front axle? i don't really need a 50 horse power tractor, but i do need a loder, and i like the international utilites. mabee i would do better with a 350 u or mabe a 404 u? but me persoanlly, i like the HU's thanks jk

All we have is the front end. I sold the steering unit a long time ago. I will check the front out this weekend.

I paid $2750 for one about 3 years ago, no loader or backhoe, good front end, will probably have an additional $5000 in it when done. I had the fast hitch rebuilt, replaced everything in the engine except the block itself, crank was reground. As described, I think the price is high because of the loader and backhoe. However, the Hi Utility (while not a Super MTA, etc) may return much of the money it takes to fix it if you ever sell it. But, unless you really want a high utility, considering the condition it is in, I would look for something else.
