A fellow down the road has an M for sale, and it looks good; price seems good also, $975.00 with remote hydraulics and a new set of rear tires. However, what about implements? What"s out there for this beauty?
My Massey has a 3 point but obviously my implements won"t work.
Other than thee Cool Factor, I can"t come up with a reason to buy this.
Somebody, please help.
Thanks,
Chuck

Too bad you are not closer. I can round some mounted implements for you. I have 4 M's, and for them I have a No 19A middle-buster, Sickle bar mower, 2 4-row cultivators, 1 2-row cultivator, and some other rear mounted plows/middle-busters. Occasionally you will find them for sale. More often, you will find someone who has some pile of iron that he does not know what it is, and it will be some sort of mounted equipment. A good set of planters always looks cool.

Looks good, NEW tires, and the price are three really good reasons to buy it. You will find a use for it. Any quiet country roads around you? They can be a pleasant thing to drive around on.

In my opnion, a good running M with a new set of rear tires is a steal, the tires alone are worth almost half the price he wants for the tractor. There are a lot of pull behind implements that you can get for the tractor, you can put a loader on it, an M has a good hydraulic system, or as glennster said, you can get an aftermarket 3 point to put on it.

you can add an aftermarket 3pt hitch to them, i bought one from saginaw co tractor parts in michigan, about 700 for the hitch, bolts right on, well made unit. m is a handy tractor, i have 3. one has a loader ion it, narrow front live hyd. second is a 42 m, bare bones narrow front, belly pump. 3rd m has a wide front, 3 point hitch and a 200 amp dc welder that runs off the belt pulley, there are a lot of implements out there that can be picked up reasonable priced, depends on what your needs are.
