This tractor must have had some long, hard PTO work in its life and the splines are very thin in the pressure plate. What are my options?
Can it be repaired or do I need to replace it?
Thank you Steve

You don"t have that 400 going yet SDE? I think that I have the pressure plate and disc on hand if you need one. Shoot me an email if you"d like.

I should have the first one running on friday or Sat. We have a hayride on Sunday.
The second tractor I think I will wait until spring to get running. I am going to look for a parts tractor because I need a complete hitch for it and I should try to find out why the hydraulics don't work on it before putting the gas tank back on.
I was going to put it back together and sell it in the spring, but I just do not feel comfortable selling it when I know how bad those splines look.

You're probably best off replacing it. It would take many hours of fancy welding and machining to rebuild it back to factory specs. Unless you're good at that (if you were, you wouldn't be asking, you'd say, "Hey I can fix that!") it'll cost a fortune...
