I went to a junkyard yesterday and found a good amount of parts for my H, including rims in good shape. They are yellow, but in good shape for $60 a piece. So, I went tire shopping around 11am.
EMS was called at 11:30 when I discovered a single rear tire was $325. I need two, plus two new fronts. So, since I don't plan on winning the lottery...

I am going to look for a match for my 1 good Kelly Power Mark 12.4x38. I'd like to get it practically new for around $100 or less. I'm sure I won't be successful, but I have to say I at least tried.
Wish me luck.

Mike
I"m in the same boat..(In Upstate New York)
I have 1 100% tread Powermark 12.4x38 on my 1950 "B" that I"m trying to match.
My restoration project budget is taking back-seat to diapers and school-clothes.
If you give-up searching for yours before I do, let me know.

Les Schwab carries tractor tires. Had a rear one put on yesterday. They run about $220 each for an 11.2x38.
Luckily they don't charge for mounting. Took 2-3 guys over 2 hours to get the old one off and the new one on.

You could try www.tiretown.com they have 12.4x38 buff tires for $185.00 See what shipping would cost or find someone headed west with room for a couple of tires. Just a thought.

Just want to thank you for mentioning www.tiretown.com. I am looking for two 5.50" x 16" tires for the front of my Farmall F-12. The few local places that can order them for me want $76.50 or more a piece for them. Used tires are even fine with me as the 40" rear tires are not new. Tiretown looks like the answer to my search. Going to call them tomorrow.

Check your rim size before you buy tires. I have 2 F 12s that have 15 inch tires.

The rim size on this F-12 is 16". It has the adjustable WF axle on it. Tiretown.com did not have the size I wanted. Called all over the place and found some in 6 ply, but I want 4 ply. Was told the the 4 ply are being phased out and no longer available. Found a local dealer that can get the 4 ply tires from someone who still has a few in stock. I will have them tomorrow morning.

John,
Go to RuralKing.com. It is a local farm store for us and they have about 20 or 25 stores in Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky. I buy my front tires from them. I believe the 5.50-16 were $49.XX last time I bought. I think the 6.50-16 are $59.XX. they have an internet store. Hope this helps.

Have a pic of said Kelly Power Mark?

Try the photo classifieds with a want ad... I"ll bet there are a few out there yet somewhere.

I was lucky enough to find a pair of decent used 12.4x38 tires from a neighbor who gave them to me for free! Of course I"m over there helping him out quite a bit, though.

Good luck with the search!
