I have a 1947 Farmall M with orginal tire fenders on it. What is the value of those fenders? Thinking about removing them and maybe putting on another tractor or giving another person chance to have them.

Reproduction fenders are $200 to $300 depending on the quality.

I have purchased originals anywhere from $10 at an auction to $200 from this website.

I stand corrected! Thanks George. Seems like I read somewhere they were standard, or maybe someone just told me that. Anyhow, thanks for the correction!

It depends on the condition of them. If they are solid and straight with little rust, or only surface rust, they can bring $300+. They are hard to find, even though they were standard equipment. I guess the farmers just took 'em off and threw them aside years ago? Either that or they were just beat to heck.

Never saw a Southern M with fenders until the restorers and hobby farmers started putting them on. The fenders interfered with a lot of mounted equipment.

Trent, they were not standard equipment. They were available only as optional equipment and many farmers who had survived the depression just would not spend the extra money to get them. More tractors were sold without them then with them. You are right about lots of them being thrown away as they had to come off for some mounted implements.
