I'm looking for some information on a road grader. The platform is an International 600 tractor built into a road grader. The tractor is about a 1954 model w/gasoline engine. The grader is fully hydraulic. It's not pretty but it runs and operates. Is the grader something International made, or is it aftermarket? I've seen some Farmall aftermarket grader conversions, but I've never seen a 600 like this. Anyone have an idea of what it might be worth?

Trojan offered motor graders built on the Farmall M in the late 40's/early 50's. (There's 2 or 3 of 'em that turn up at shows here every summer...)

Would make sense that Trojan - or perhaps Adams, Austin-Western, etc - might also have built graders based on the IHC 600.

Any idea what an operational unit would be worth? I'm considering purchasing it. I think he wants around $3,000 for it. It needs restoration work, but it's in working condition. I've bought and sold some IH 600 Diesel's and have done well with them, but I don't know much about the value of the graders.

An operational grader, with working hydraulics is certainly worth 3grand. grading with a blade is delux. JimN

IH made a Power unit with all the components needed to begin the construction of a grader. I have no idea what yours is, but many were sold for that purpose. Farmall Ms were also retrofitted to be graders. JimN
