Was Wondering With Engine In Tractor Whats The Correct Way In Removing Pistons So I Can Re RIng Them Also Can I Change Rod And Main Bearings On This MD With Just The Oil Pan Off?

You can channge the bearings but you won't be able to check the wear on the crankshaft,so you may just knock out a new set very quickly. If you think it needs doing then I guess your going to have to 'bite the bullet' and take the engine out. Luck! Mike Farmer

You will need to remove the ridge at the top of the sleeves with a ridge reamer or you may damage the piston. You need to measure the sleeves for wear too. Hal

Take off the head and oil pan. Then remove rod caps and push pistons out the top. Yeas you can renew bearings with pan off.
