I am replacing the gen cutout and i see they now use a regulator. I want to make sure i am hooking it up right. Arm to gen, field to field, bat to ammeter +, ammeter + to light switch? Also what is the L on the regulator for? This is for a 48 Farmall H with dist ign. It belonged to my grandpa and i bought it from the estate auction. Done alot of work on the old girl in the past week so i dont want to burn out either the gen or regulator

The "L" terminal is for the lights. Bob M. can answer it better, but depending on how the tractor is wired, you might not use the "L".
