Last year I took my carb to a shop for a rebuild. It ran fine until yesterday.I had to pull it a half mile before it started and then it had to be on 3/4 choke even after it ran for 30 minutes. My sediment bowl is only a year old to.What should I check first...second?

Some would suggest using Seafoam in the gas to help keep the system clean and fresh. I have heard rave reviews, but have not tried it yet. I hear it can even free stuck valves. Hope this helps.

I'd pull the drain plug out of the bottom of the carb and make sure you have a good steady flow of gas there for at least 5 minutes. If you don't then pull the line off the carb and check for flow there. If you have a good flow at the line but not the carb you have a stuck float or other problem in the carb. But if you don't have a good flow at the line you have a clog in the tank or sediment bowl area or in the line

I will add to that just a bit. If the tractor has spent most of the last year just sitting, the gasoline in the carb is now pretty much nothing but sticky, gooey varnish. No need for another complete rebuild, but you will have to disassemble the carb for a thorough cleaning, and while you're at it, drain the old gas out of the tank also and start fresh.
