My wife just approached me and suggested I post a message asking if there was a tractorholics anonymous group and if there was a support group for wives of husbands who are more interested in old tractors than in them. I get the uneasy feeling that I am going to be in for some "quality time"

Our wives should really be thankful-instead of tinkering at a tractor or talking about tinkering at a tractor, that time could be spent shooting pool or hanging out at the tavern.

If we are in the garage,or on this forum, they know where we are.

This is my support group for my wife's addiction.
She lives on the Navy-parents website. I have to fight her for the computer.

I have thought about what I could have accomplished on my own Super H while I was spending time here. I come out ahead though cause of all the stuff I have learned here.

Single here as my girlfriend passed as a result of a vehicle accident, I want to mention we enjoyed doing everything together as we were also very best friends. So...I suggest not wearing the boots into the house with grease on the soles; keep the parts off the kitchen table/counter top; look up from the parts book at breakfast and say yes once in a while; do the laundry, hang it out and bring it in folded! DON'T suggest to Kim that she add another discussion group for those orphaned individuals in the household who don't have an interest in tractor/implement iron...OOPS, did I say that? Take her out for breakfast on a weekend morning or make a good breakfast at the house, do the dishes, clean the floors, flush, put the seat down, wash your hands and turn out the light. I did all those things and we got along great! I should add, my exceptional lover also grew up on a farm, cows; tobacco; hired out for those things and silo filling, the rural lifestyle sure helps. A group would be good, but the situation is without a cure. Coffee and homemade pie help :^).

Further to my troubles, Hedi wants to know if all of us are glued to our computers helping figuring out some guy's governor problems, who is fixing the fences.

My wife told that she has not seen me since I pulled my new H in the barn before labor day. I told her that I see her every night after I come to bed and before she gets up.

you need to find a way to include her. My girlfriend went with me to a threshing show this fall, as long as we stopped at the historic schoolhouse on grounds. Now she is talking about going next year! :)

you need to find a common ground, even if it's knitting for her, or historic schools, or something, as long as you end up together at some of the shows and events.
worst case scenerio is she has her "modern person (woman)" hobbies and you have your tractors, and you both agree to not force the other to be involved if s/he is not interested. if you let her do her things with her time and she lets you do yours with yours, that could work too. as long as you make time for each other with the interests you do share.
so says the unmarried guy

We farm and my wife, Hedi pitches in with haying, calving, lambing and feeding when I have to be away at work. I think the problem is that the minute I get into the house I head for the computer to see who has had triumphs and/or tribulations with their tractors. She does prefer the C while I like the SA but I hope this will not be grounds for divorce.
