Hi Everyone,

Here are some photos of my 1943 Farmall H so far, and a couple of pictures of when I was painting and priming it.I put on one wheel tonight (not pictured) and will put the other one on tommorrow. The H is running great right now. I got new plug wires from NAPA yesterday. I still need to fix the brakes though. Thanks for all the help and parts I've gotten from this site!

Andy.

Andy and anyone else looking for IH parts. Go to www.caseih.com, click on "search for parts" box on right side of screen, and type in what you are looking for in the "search" box located on the top right. Include "Farmall" if looking for the letter series tractors. If tractor or implement is there it will bring up exploded parts diagram and part number listing along with quantity needed and if part is no longer available.

Looking at the parts listing shows seals at the brake pedal shaft and also lists an oil seal 63090D with brake drum 8822DBX but I can't see where it sits.

I've just printed a 1/2" stack of exploded diagrams and part numbers for my NEW 1949 Ford 8N. One and a half hours and a half tank of black ink. I did the same thing when I bought my IH 240 U. For Fords just Google CNH. Fof JD's Gargoole Jehrn Daekl I'm getting outta here. David.

Take good care of that rear light with the switch that selects red light or white light. I just had to buy a rough used one and dented my wallet quite a bit.
Nice job,
Paul

Yes, I will need help on the brakes. I don't even know where the seals are in the brakes, I've looked and found nothing in both sides. I went to NAPA to try and get seals, but they need the part number, which I don't have. You can email me with the Send Email link.

Thanks,
Andy.

Thanks for sharing Andy. I imagine you had the extension cords plugged into a current bush? sorry, couldn't help miselph. The Farmall emblem on the front reminds me of a non-level-headed Norwegian where the tobacco juice only runs out of one side of his mouth. I like the oil gauge still in its work clothes, imagine if it could talk about the decades of work and change it has operated through. Nice work!

The emblem is not straight because I lost one of the screws, but I have one in it now. That oil gauge is actually not the "original" one for my H, my H originally had one that looks like this one, except it had IHC in it. I got the gauge from a eBay member for free, but he was supposed to send me an IHC one, not a IH one. IHC ones were used 1939-1946, and then they were IH ones. That needle on this same gauge used to be a little lower than half way up, but I put on a good clean oil pan and a new gasket, cleaned the oil pump screen, replaced the crankcase breather, new oil & filter, and pressured cleaned the oil lines and the pressure got better.

Thanks,
Andy
