One off a 966 ,986 is what you need.

I take it you're working on a truck. Most of the IH tractors with 400 series engines used the same intake manifold no matter if they where turbo'ed or not. 88 series may be the exeption to that rule, although the 3488 did have a non-turbo 466 (good luck finding a 3488). I'd say try one from a 66 or 86 series tractor 414 or 436 and see what happens.

That brings up a conversation a had with someone awhile back. A 986 is naturally aspirated, but a 1486 is turbo charged. Does that mean that a 986 has a D436 and a 1486 has a DT436? even though they are basically the same engine? I know the old tractors were designated C- for carburated or D- for diesel, but as soon as an engine was offered with a turbo, did it solely go by a DT- designation? I don't think an engine like a D-264 was ever offered with a turbo-charger in anything.

I'm not sure but I think a manifold from a D436 in a 986 would work. The blocks are supposed to be the same and a 986 is naturally aspirated. Lee
