I got to the root of the problem of not having much hydraulic function unless 3/4 throttle. Here it is..... ...

third party image

More groove in there than on American Bandstand Ha Ha!!!

I have a new one on the way. (remanufactured) I lose out on the core because apparently it is not stamped with an EATON number, whatever that is! Could it be parted out??

Hello Hal,

I had seen your post including the old oak farmall information. I found it useful and very helpful. Big thanks to the guys at Old Oaks Farmalls.

Plenty of moisture here, were kind of waiting for a little drier weather to start ensiling high moisture shelled corn. I'll try to get a few pics of it for you!!

Butch

That was well written and was probably better than the shop manual. My neighbor has a late model Suburu and was trying to change the air filter and he had the shop manual. He said he had been 3 days trying to get to the filter. He called me and I walked over to take look. There was a piece of hose on an elbow about 4 inches in diameter on the intake manifold that connected the
air filter assembly. There was a hose clamp connecting the hose to the elbow. I loosen the hose clamp and slid it back off the elbow and the whole filter assembly was out.

I told him the person that wrote that procedure had probably never seen the engine. This man has a PHD in math from the University of MD. Hal

I should've posted theoldoakfarmall web site for you to read the problems they had with their 460.
Sure sounds like what they found. It's still dry here in MD, no rain in the last months. Hal

I tried the oldoakfarmall web site last to make sure it was still available and it came up without any problems. I tried it this morning and it won't respond. Try it later today.

On the over 50 crowd I have that in an email. Send me an email and I will send you a copy. Hal
PS: You just click on the pink and it will play music.

old oak link in reply to El Toro, 10-03-2007 18:23:09
El Toro, I tried your link and over a week ago you also had one for a posting about what you listened to when you were younger, both get me nowhere. Here is what I am doing: highlight; right click and do a google search in a separate window; I open that window and google displays 'did not match any documents'. I did google old oak farms and their site, linked below, hasn't been updated since '06 and I wanted to hear a 130 like Hugh has and watch a 460 mowing video. What's a Norwegian to do??? Regarding rain, the gauge on the clothesline shows another 2.3" in two days.
