Does anyone know where I can get a used or possibly a remake of the piece that goes between the exhaust manifold and the muffler on a Farmall A with exhaust lift? Also, what is a restored 1945 Farmall A worth?

Thanks to you both. I got an e-mail from Gene Bender like Dave mentioned. He has rebuilt ones at a reasonable price. I already have nearly $3,000 in this tractor. The tractor itself was given to me in very poor condition. I rationalize that I have $1,000 in sentimental value so I am still ahead. Don"t tell my wife that it is only worth $2,500. I told her that it is priceless.

The ones I've found on ebay lately and there haven't been many have gone for $150.00+. The exhaust valve is a fairly simple component but there dont't seem to be too many operable one's around, at least in my part of the country. A restored A around here might go for $2500 but probably not much more.

Either wait patiently for it to come up on ebay or wait patiently for Gene Bender to read your post. Gene knows a lot about these and has had parts for sale in the past.
