OK, put 1466 in reverse and a sudden clashing sound came from under the seat ( I figure transmission). The sound stopped and now all gears work fine except reverse. When it is put in reverse, it acts like it's in neutral. Please help me, any ideas? Thanks

On the left side of your tractor there is a plate just in front of the brake that you can remove. This will let you see the reverse collar and gears. Have someone move the shift lever as you watch the collar to see if it move. If the collar moves and still no reverse, my quess is that the collar is stripped out or the gears are worn off. One other thing it could be is that the rollers on the trans. lid could have slit and fell off and there is to much slop in the linkage. Hope this helps.
