I have a 154 Lo-Boy that needs a carburator. Previous owner misplaced the original. Looks to me like one of the few differences between a 185 and 154 is that the 154 takes an IHC updraft carburator while the 185 takes a Zenith (184 also). Can one put the 185s Zenith carburator on the 154 and expect better performance?
Thanks

Itll fit but the air intake pipe wont fit the Zenith. Youll have to adapt which ever way you choose. I used a peice or radiator hose that fit the Zenith, and glues the other end tothe intake pipw. An intake pipe from a 184 or 184 may fit the 154 filter housing, I dont know. More power, well mine sems to have more power than with the IH carb, but my carb was in bad shape to start with.

Thanks, as I have to get a complete carburator I may just go that route.

Thanks again.
